This Week in Education Organizing - December 14, 2018

We're helping to shine a spotlight on Los Angeles, where teachers are threatening to go on strike over the corporate education reform agenda of LAUSD Superintendent Austin Beutner. UTLA teachers, parents and students are demanding lower class sizes, an end to random searches of students, charter accountability, better wages for teachers, and more. Meanwhile, youth-led organizations and others are focused on the impending release of the final report from the DeVos Commission on school safety. We report on the #PoliceFreeSchools movement and the potential impact of the Commission's report.
